Ongoing Research Projects


Presently the Centre is implementing the following research projects funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India under the Supervision of Prof.J.S.Rawat.

 

1. Development of Standard Based Uttarakhand Geoportal for Decentralized Governance: A joint collaboration project of the Kumaun University and UCOST, Dehradun funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and the State Government of Uttarakhand.

The following project personnel are implementing this project:

2. Impact of Climate Change on Hydrologic Responses under varied Ecological Conditions in Kumaun Lesser Himalayan Terrain.

Completed  Research Projects   

     

The Centre has successfully completed the following research projects funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India:

1. Upgradation and applications of NRDMS Technologies in District Almora,

2. Development of Hydrometeorological Data at Micro and Macro Scale Watersheds for Stakeholders of the Local Level Planning, A study from the Khulgad Watershed,

3. Empowering Youth through Geo-Informatics for Local Level Planning.

4. Applications of Geohydrometeorological Data in Groundwater Augmentation and Water Conservation in the Kosi Watershed in District Almora.

5. Monitoring and Modelling of Hydrometerological Parameter under various Ecological conditions in Kumaun Region.

6. Setting up Centre of Excellence for NRDMS in Uttarakhand.

7. MANU (Map the Neighbourhood in Uttarakhand): Development of Geographic Information System of Uttarakhand Devastation 2013.
